Thanks for your interest in being part of my ongoing Gift Guides on KristiTrimmer.com. My community loves to see which products I feature each holiday season and which ones I keep talking about all year long. Don’t worry, you don’t have to pay to be in my Gift Guides, but there is a product minimum. There is also a new VIP option that you might be interested in that is described below.

- Forget Gifts, Let’s Do This Gift Guide
My Gift Guides are a little bit different than other bloggers. I don’t take them down at the end of the season, but rather add to them or take out products that don’t resonate with my readers. I only add in products that I love and have tried out. I’m known for recommending great products and services and won’t compromise that.
I just finished full-time traveling and living nomadically for 2.5 years. So yep, I live life a little bit differently. I camped 100+ days a year and tried many camping products to make it a bit more like glamping. This means, the best wine and beer accessories, solar power options, and everything to make my time out in nature more comfortable. I both road trip and travel by plane throughout the US and Central America. I’m on a plane 8+ hours at a time and know what works and what doesn’t in both environments.
Big Thing to Know: I have decided to put down roots in Alaska! What’s scary is I don’t even have a coffee maker or a bed, but a new love for living a minimalist lifestyle. I am open to product reviews, but only ones that really fit into my niches or to help me make my new place a home.
I travel the world searching for adventure, craft beer, and wine. Does your brand fit into my style? If so, let’s work together on a product review, sponsored post, or a press trip. Have passport, ready to travel!
Promotion Strategy
I advertise my different Holiday Gift Guides with a very popular giveaways and social media promotion. The giveaways require engagement fro my community telling me which product they would like best and why. I’ve been known to send random acts of gift guide kindness to unsuspecting readers out of my own pocket and with help from the brand, if they want to participate.
Promotion Period
Promotions for the 2016 Holiday Gift Guide begin October and continue throughout December. I promote my Guide to Getting Healthy in January and hit each guide again before major gift giving holidays.
My most popular guide last year was the Ultimate Wine Lover’s Gift Guide and this year’s guides will have a similar look and feel. I’m also doing Buzzfeed type posts and My Taco Obsession Has Just Reached An All New Level has made people not only hungry, but love how I show products without selling to them.
To be included in any of my guides, there are a few requirements. Space is limited and I may not be able to include every product, service, or excursion sent my way, but I will do my best! If you don’t meet the minimum, I also do social sharing at a reduced pricing structure, just let me know if that is what you need.
What is required for inclusion?
- A full size, non-returnable product sample, gift card, or fee. $50 minimum product sample value, in whole or combination of products for the same brand.
- If the product sample, gift card, or fee does not equal or greater than $50, then social media shares are recommended.
- High resolution product image to be used on the Holiday Gift Guide.
*Monetary compensation is not required, however if you choose not to submit a full sized, non-returnable product, then a fee of $50 is required for your item to be included in the guide. Some exceptions are given for products or services, so please inquire.
Want to also do a giveaway?
Giveaways are great, and will get your product or destination more exposure! Your brand will be listed in the appropriate Gift Guide and on have a separate line item in my Holiday Giveaway. There is a $75 fee to run a giveaway and the sponsor is responsible for sending the product to the winner.
When do items have to ship by?
For the upcoming Holiday 2016 season, products should be shipped to me no later than November 15, 2016, or sooner. For all other times of the year, ship as the product becomes available. If a giveaway is included, the giveaway item must be mailed no later than December 1st so the winner has time to receive this item before the Holidays. I’m currently in Alaska, so make sure you send via air not ground, or I won’t see it until Spring. The secret is to ship via USPS at is by far the cheapest way to go.
VIP Option
Gift Guide First Row
Many times a brand requests to be in the top row of my gift guides. In order to honor these requests, there is a VIP option offered on a first come, first served basis. There are only three spots available at the top of the list for $200 each. It includes one link to the social channel of your choosing in the Holiday Giveaway entry form.
Gift Guide Second Row
The second row’s three spaces are available for $100 each. They also include a link on the giveaway.
If you have any questions or are interested in reserving your place in any of my Gift Guides, please email me at Kristi@KristiTrimmer.com. .
I look forward to working with you,
Kristi
