Whenever I would drive up in a car, Chandler Bing would run over wagging his tail so excited that to see me. It could be just my imagination, but it also seemed like he would walk around the car checking it out. When I drove up in the 2016 Toyota Camry XSE you would have thought Chandler Bing had seen Puppy Heaven. Seriously, he was jumping around and carrying on like I hadn’t seen him do before. I couldn’t blame him though. I have driven quite a few Camrys, and to be honest I was never their biggest fan. The Camry XSE though was so much more than the basic Camry of years past.

First off, when did the Camry get this sporty new makeover? I’m a big fan of the rounded frame and 18″ alloy wheels. Not only does this car look sporty, but with the V6 engine it also has some speed behind it. It did take a second to kick into gear, but once you get the Camry going, it drove smooth and fast!

You know I am all about the car tech and get excited about the tech features in the new models. Love the new wireless charging available in the Camry! No more wires, no more worrying that I forget my charger. I simply placed my Qi-compatible device on the nonslip surface to charge up wirelessly. Easy peasy! I’m also a big fan of the Entune App Suite as I can listen to Pandora, make a quick reservation with OpenTable, plus access MovieTickets.com to catch a flick. Yep, a big fan.

The safety driving features in the Camry have also come a long way. I had on the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) when I was driving to see what it would do. Freaked me out at first when it automatically adjusted my speed when I was in cruise control when I got too close to the car in front of me. I was like – whoa! What was that? On road trips, I would definitely use the Lane Departure Alert (LDA) as it lets you know when you have drifted out of your lane.

 

I wouldn’t let Chandler Bing inside the Camry XSE because he was a snowy-muddy mess. I mean, how could I say no to that face? He gave his paw approval though as this was the only car he tried repeatedly to jump into whenever I opened up the door. It was the funniest, strangest thing. He was too quick for me to get it on video!

Yep, Chandler Big and I both approve of the new 2016 Toyota Camry XSE!
