Blooming Blue in the Garden

blue garden

Have you ever thought of planting a garden based strictly on a specific color? I mean I have seen flower gardens that are created that way like in shades of white or pink. Having a monochromatic flower garden isn’t a new thing. But having an edible garden that just grows one color of vegetable of fruit? Now *that* can get fun and interesting.

I rustled up some beautiful blue crops for you. Yep, I said BLUE. You know… like blue corn, blue squash, and blue strawberries. Say what?? I know, right?. Scroll down to see the different plants I found. An interesting thing I noticed was that a lot of these blue crops, were in fact, open-pollinated Heirloom seeds. A few of course look genetically modified (like the strawberries), but I did a Happy Dance when I saw that most were organic seeds! Would you grow a Blue Garden? I know I would!
