I have been blogging for over five years now and it wasn’t until I started blogging about weight loss that people started reading me. I wrote about my struggles with eating healthy, running half marathons and STILL being overweight. I lost 50 pounds in 2012 from running and finally eating for my food allergy – I am highly allergic to soy.
Eat real food!!
Throughout the years I have made countless New Year’s Resolutions and have failed at most of them. But something magical comes out of them too. I realize what I love about myself and those little things I want to change. So every New Year I find it the perfect time to focus on an improved me. Do you do the same?
I still have 50 pounds I want to lose. 50 pounds! I hide it well, I know. 🙂 I’ve been eating well and exercising regularly again and have lost 12 pounds in December. I’m ready for this year’s weight loss challenge!!
This year is a little different as I am working with the MinuteClinic New Year’s Wellness Campaign. What is that you might be wondering?
MinuteClinic’s Weight Loss Program is offered in partnership with the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet, ranked #1 overall by U.S. News & World Report 4 years in a row!
What’s cool about DASH is that a nurse practitioner is with you every step of the way, from initial health assessment to ongoing customized coaching to help keep you on track.
The program also gives you exclusive online membership to DASH for Health portal (a $69 value), which provides ongoing tips, lists and recipes as a resource during your weight loss journey.
In addition to its Weight Loss Program, MinuteClinic also offers Eyelash Lengthening Consultations, and comprehensive Smoking Cessation programs, complete with personalized assessment, plan and ongoing coaching.
Disclosure: I was compensated by MinuteClinic to provide you with information for their New Year’s Programs. I still think it is pretty awesome that they are doing them to create a healthier environment and help people live a healthier life.
