These are 30-Day Fitness Challenges that you can accomplish this month – or any month as long as you start today. I get that it is hard to get to the gym everyday. Life is hard, so is getting started on a regular exercise routine. I absolutely going to CrossFit and love to lift heavy weights. Some months though, I don’t have the $175 to throw down for a month of CrossFit. Instead, I pick 2-3 challenges and do them instead. You don’t need any fancy equipment or a ton of time. Etch out 20-30 minutes and you can make these work. I do suggest getting a yoga mat and ab mat to make crunches and sit-ups easier on your back. Let me know in the comments which ones you want to try first. Pick 2-3 different ones each month or add in a new one. You can do this. YOU ARE WORTH THE INVESTMENT. Let me say that again for those in the back – YOU ARE WORTH THE INVESTMENT!

30 Day Water Challenge
This challenge is required when you want to live a healthy lifestyle. A lot of us need that little nudge to get our water intake in. It is recommended to drink 8 glasses of water a day. Print out this 30 Day Water Challenge and drink up. If you are like me and log everything in a planner (I love Erin Condren planners and have a Dingbats bullet journal obsession), then check out these Water Challenge Stickers I found for your planner.
Print this out so it is easy for you to complete.
First things First
1. Kick off the Month with a Refrigerator Makeover
2. Read up on Intermittent Fasting and see if it is right for you. I love it!
3. Should you follow a Low Carb or Keto Diet Are you on Weight Watchers?
30 Day Wall Sit Challenge
My quads are not happy at all about me doing this challenge. But I hate my legs, so bring on the burn. I think I’m going to regret this challenge pretty quickly!
30 Day Butt Challenge
I started this right after the Wall Sit Challenge. I am a huge lover of squats and think this with be the easier one out of all the challenges for me. Typically, I do at least 100 squats a day. Lunges on the other hand kick my ass each and every time I do them. The bridges felt good as a low back and butt stretch, so I enjoy doing those.
30 Day Plank Challenge
The longest plank I have ever been able to hold is 45 seconds, but that was before my arm injury. I haven’t done them in quite a long time, so 20 seconds was quite challenging. This one, my friends, is gonna hurt.
30 Day Crunch Challenge
My stomach is more like a pony keg than a 6-pack. I made it to 19 crunches before my stomach started spasming and wondered what the hell I was doing. I took a couple deep breaths and pushed out the last six crunches. Ouch, ouch, ouch. 135 by the end of this challenge? Oh, hells no! 🙂
30 Day Arms Challenge
I do the Tricep Dips using a desk or counter. I try to do regular push-ups without my knees on the floor, which made me remember all the days spent in Officer Training School those many years ago. For now though, I do pushups against the wall as I am still struggling to use my right arm. Mountain climbers are a struggle and a half! So hard!
30 Day Ab & Squat Challenge
You know… for when you really want some punishment. This is a great challenge to get swimsuit ready though! I have found that I enjoy sit-ups more than crunches and can easily push out 50 sit-ups while I struggle to do 20 crunches.
30 Day Burpee Challenge
For when you are in pretty good shape but you want to kick it up a notch… Burpees! In CrossFit, we did A LOT of burpees. Not my favorite one bit but they are amazing for a total body workout!
30 Day Pushup Challenge
You can do pushups against the wall, on your knees, in regular position, or even one-arm pushups. Modify this to your needs and go for it! Get those arms and upper body toned up and in great shape!
30 Day Sit-up Challenge
Sit-ups not only help to hold in your insides, but they help you to have a strong back as well. These will hurt, I can promise you that! But in that it feels so good kind of hurt.
30 Day Squat Challenge
Squats are my hands-down favorite thing to do. This challenge has my name written all over it. Who’s with me?
30 Day Cardio Challenge
I’ve had a few requests to find cardio challenges to add in. High knees and mountain climbers for the win!
30 Day Walking to Running Challenge
This is a perfect way to start a running program. Running in short spurts helps to increase your overall running distance and time. This is how I train when I haven’t been running in awhile. If you are up for it – sign up for a 5k or 10k that is in 60-90 days. Running events are so much fun to see if running is for you!
You have quite a few challenges to choose from. Which ones are you going to commit to starting this month?
