If a country is built on violence, racism, segregation, theft, and the demoralization of so many cultures, how do we heal a wound that will never heal?
The only way to heal is through love. This is a status update I wrote last week. I think this is a good start.
People rage when they feel they are not being seen. You do it, I know I do it. Love ends rage. Understanding ends rage. Change ends rage. Today show love, understanding, and empathy to each other. Change the rage.
How you are going to handle Alaska’s winter? I could not do it. I hate the cold, and with the eternal night time I would be so depressed. Are you able to run??
I’ve gotten through my first full weekend of snow. I played in the snowblower like it was a sprinkler and went on a hike and saw this Bald Eagle.
I’m looking forward to learning how to ice skate on the frozen lakes, snowshoe through the woods, cross country ski on the back of the mountains, and go snow machining with friends. I also want to go and so glaciers with snow falling down. I will need a lot of coats and hand warmers. Lots and lots of hand warmers.
I also plan on settling in and writing. I want shut off social and my email for a bit and just write. The roads are icy, so I need to get shoe cleats if I want to run. I really want to get my yoga practice going more so I can strengthen my mind and quiet my mind.
