I Want to be a Writer When I Grow Up

I’m alive and so is my new blog home. There are still a million and one things to do to make this site look just how I want it to. I hope you won’t mind the dust for a couple days while things are ironed out. I’m excited to share all the writing I’ve been working on!! I have a lot of content to bring forward – feels like I’ve been working on this for weeks. Well, months really.

I’ve struggled with how to brand my blog identity for almost a year now. Lately, it has been overwhelmingly clear that I need to say goodbye to my old blog OrangeDragonflyBlog.com. I had to let it go, it was holding me back. I needed the space to write authentically, creatively, and still work with brand sponsors in a mutually beneficial way.

This blog is my life. It is where I come to share what is going on with me, both business and personally. Where I am in the world while I am traveling. It is where I make my income. You will see affiliate links written into the content and banner ads for things that I think are relevant to the article or just outright cool. When you click on them and go to that site and make a purchase, I make a commission. This is how I keep the gas in the tank and money for my next travel excursion.

I’m also a full-time paid writer and so excited to finally be able to pay my way in the world with my words. But most importantly, I am blessed to have finally realized at 40 years old what I want to be when I grow up – A Writer.
